This past month Ed and I have been getting settled into our new apartment. We officially moved in a couple weeks before Christmas, but there was a lot to be done before we could really feel settled in. The house itself is old, built in the 1920s. We have the basement unit (1 bedroom, 3/4 bath) while Ed's parents and older sister live upstairs. We are talking to his dad about eventually buying the house, but not for a few years at least. In the meantime, the basement is ours, our first home with just the two of us.
We have a lot of plans for this house, and my goal is to document our work here. For posterity, friends and family, and for my own memory. We have a couple small projects already finished that I would like to share -- the kitchen and the bookshelf -- and we are making plans for a lot more once the weather warms up un the spring. Hello garden!
My goal is to post once a week. I also eventually want to get Ed to write a few posts here and there, but I'll be the primary author here.
